Stewardship

Stewardship is an important committee whose main function is to utilize the three treasures of the church; that is time, talent and treasure to sustain and promote the mission of the church. Every fall brings about a new Stewardship campaign where the committee is involved in selecting a new theme relevant for the year. Representative members of different age groups of the congregation are selected to give witness talks based on their personal experience of the relevance of the church to their lives. There is usually a kick-off dinner or barbecue. Members are asked to make financial pledges for the year on pledge cards or on the website. These pledges are needed to plan the church budget for the coming year. The Stewardship campaign lasts about three months and usually culminates in a harvest dinner with light entertainment.
