Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the need for a tangible symbol of God’s love and care to reassure someone going through a difficult time. The shawl is a warming, encompassing embrace, filled with the unconditional love of our Lord and Savior.

The Shawl Ministry is a group of women who knit and crochet. We meet quarterly in each other’s homes. We are an ecumenical and diverse group, with women from several churches. And we can teach you!!

The shawls have been sent out all over the community, the country and the world. We do not have a budget and the shawls are not for sale. We would gladly, however, accept donations to offset the cost of materials or postage. The Lord puts a name on our hearts, and the shawl goes out. The shawls are so easy to make, and we happily welcome new participants. And remember, you do not have to attend meetings to be part of this ministry.
